Man excited to find his 30 year old mac computer still works. Consider how often you find yourself forgetting something important. You might forget the name of someone from your past, a word you want to use, or the date of your best friend's birthday.
Finding the things you used as a kid can be a dun trip down memory lane, but i can only imagine how crazy it would be to find a 35 year old computer that sill works.
Last Saturday night, Professor John tweeted that ha had a functional Apple computer from his parents' attic.

My.
God.
An Apple IIe. Sat in my parents’ attic for years. Decades.
And it works.
Put in an old game disk. Asks if I want to restore a saved game.
And finds one!
It must be 30 years old.

Hm. I rocked this version of One on One. Could hit a three from anywhere.— John Pfaff (@JohnFPfaff) 17 February 2019
But the boxes my mom sent have no joystick!!
Will GameStop have one that fits these ports? pic.twitter.com/VQFgaAyb9G
My dad typed up labels for all my floppies, which is really sweet to remember.— John Pfaff (@JohnFPfaff) 17 February 2019
He was so thorough that he even included... who hacked the games.

This game... never got past the first level despite HOURS of (pre-internet cheating) trying.— John Pfaff (@JohnFPfaff) 17 February 2019
Now w the web, I have a shot.
The music, tho. That classic Apple IIe music. pic.twitter.com/ebeXNzoCs2
NICE!!! I’ve got an old Apple IIc in the basement boxed up with an old ribbon printer. Oregon Trail. The Print Shop. Carmen Sandiego. My kids have no idea where technology has come from to get to where it is now. Raise your hand, if you’re all about the floppy 5.25” disks! π♂️— π»πΈπ΅π΄ ππ π±ππΈπ°π½ (@briankrejci) 17 February 2019
Those cards. There was a stationary store in town that stocked the envelopes exactly that size so I could mail my creations!— Sara M. Harvey (@Saraphina_Marie) 17 February 2019
